Through her years as a dietitian and nutrition therapist, Leslie has had the privilege to practice in many settings including research, infant nutrition, general pediatrics, collegiate and professional sports facilities, and eating disorder treatment centers. In addition, she focuses her own private practice on counseling families, those of all ages with disordered eating issues, and professional athletes and performers. With her warm, compassionate, and entertaining personality, Leslie been featured in media outlets like Health, Women’s Health, Self, Pregnancy Magazine, The Yoga Journal, BuzzFeed, the Huffington Post, USNews, and on HGTV.
Leslie owns Schilling Nutrition LLC, a private nutrition therapy and wellness coaching business that focuses on Intuitive Eating, weight-neutral, and non-diet approaches to health and performance. When she’s not counseling, reading, writing, cooking, or hiking with her family; you can find Leslie using her social media channels and speaking platforms to deliver science-based, non-diet messages with a dash of humor. Her most recent endeavor was creating and co-authoring the book Born to Eat.

Leslie's Professional Bio
Leslie is a Master’s level, registered dietitian who specializes in disordered eating, sports nutrition, family nutrition, and weight concerns. She received her Bachelor of Science and Master’s degrees both from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. Leslie has worked with recreational, high school, collegiate, and professional athletes and performers. She has worked across many practice settings including nutrition research, acute care, and outpatient pediatrics, adult and pediatric weight concerns, as well as in recreational and professional athletic training facilities. Leslie has served as an adjunct instructor in the Graduate Nutrition Program at the University of Memphis and as a guest lecturer at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).
She is a member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP), the International Federation of Eating Disorder Dietitians (IFEDD), the Collegiate & Professional Sport's Dietitian's Association (CPSDA), and previously, the Behavioral Health Nutrition and Pediatric Nutrition Practice Groups of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Leslie is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a former committee member of the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). She is a specialist in sports dietetics and is the only Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian and Supervisor (CEDRD-S) in Southern Nevada.
Leslie has been accepted into The National Speakers Association (NSA) and has been invited to provide nutrition programs and presentations to teams and professionals across the nation. Leslie reviews and writes for national media outlets like US News & World Report, professional and consumer publications, and is an expert influencer. She is also the creator and co-author of the book Born To Eat (Skyhorse 2017) and the owner of Schilling Nutrition, LLC, a private consulting practice, in Las Vegas, NV.
